SheKnows Media Appoints Former Style.com Publisher Matt Rice to Publisher of StyleCaster

StyleCaster’s Year-Over-Year Growth Shows Significant Gains with a 180% Increase in Reach and a 237% Rise in Mobile Traffic

NEW YORK, NY – July 29, 2015 – SheKnows Media, a leading media company for women with more than 78 million unique visitors per month1 – 33.2 million of which are Millennials2 – and 162 million social media fans and followers, today announced that it has appointed Matt Rice to Publisher of StyleCaster, the company’s flagship fashion and beauty property.

Most recently, Rice served as the Publisher of Style.com where he was responsible for overseeing the property’s sales strategy, marketing initiatives and brand P&L. Rice, who was promoted to Publisher in 2013, previously served as the Associate Publisher of Style.com and NowManifest.com. Prior to that, he held Advertising Director and Executive Director roles at Style.com, WWD and WWD.com.  

As the Publisher of StyleCaster, Rice is responsible for driving the brand’s repositioning efforts, which include overhauling the StyleCaster site; developing a new, more robust branded content and advertising offering; as well as strategic hiring to build out the brand’s sales and marketing teams. Rice will collaborate with Jessica Teves, StyleCaster’s new Editor in Chief and former Style.com Site Director, to elevate content by bringing top-tier columnists, editors and contributors on board. 

Together, Rice and Teves will continue SheKnows Media’s efforts to develop StyleCaster into a leading style brand. Since SheKnows Media acquired the site in August 2014, StyleCaster has realized significant year-over-year growth: Unique visitors per month have increased 180%, and mobile traffic has jumped 237%. Pageviews are also up 240% over the same period.3
